Oxford Church of the Nazarene

Thank you for volunteering your time to help serve our community at Christmas. The Kids’ Christmas Shoppe is an opportunity for children in the community to shop for free for their loved ones. The event will be open to the community on December 4, 2021 from 9am-1pm. Please make sure you arrive promptly by 8:00 am to meet and review your assignment for the day. Given below are some of the ways you will be assisting:

- Personal Shopping Assistant-helping one child at a time to shop for their family’s gifts, take them to the wrapping center then deliver them to their family and repeating throughout the day

- Gift Assistant-manning a gift table and restocking as needed

- Wrapping Assistant-wrapping gifts for the children to take with them

- Translating-Assisting with translating to our Spanish-speaking families during the event

Below is some additional information about the day:

· Volunteers should wear red or black shirts with jeans

· Please wear a Santa or Elf Hat (they are available at Dollar Tree or Dollar General)

· Name tags will be given during the meeting and must be worn at all times

· Donuts/coffee/hot chocolate will be provided as well as lunch

· The event will run until approximately 2pm; please plan to stay and help with clean-up

· Event is held at the Oxford Church of the Nazarene, 116 E. Locust Street, Oxford, PA (610) 932-2584

  1. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.

  2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
